Why NoSlip exists

THE MOMENT WE BUILT THIS FOR

Most recovery tools are built around the aftermath — a counter that goes up until it doesn't, a log of what already happened. That's useful for looking back. It does almost nothing for the fifteen seconds before a decision gets made.

NoSlip started from a simple observation: the moments that actually decide whether a streak holds or breaks are quiet, isolated, and usually happen when no one else is around. Late at night. Mid-scroll. Stressed and alone. A support system that only shows up afterward is a support system that missed the point.

01

Our recovery philosophy

We don't believe recovery is a straight line, and we don't build as if it is. NoSlip doesn't treat a slip as a failure state to be punished with a reset counter and silence — it treats it as information. What was the trigger? What time was it? What had already happened that day? Understanding that pattern is more useful than shame, and shame was never the plan.

02

What we're building toward

NoSlip's job is to be useful in the urge moment itself — not to replace therapy, not to diagnose anything, and not to pretend an app can do what a real support system does. It's a companion for the gap between those support sessions, built with the respect that a genuinely hard moment deserves.

NoSlip is not a medical, psychological, or therapeutic service. If you're in serious distress, please reach out to a qualified professional or crisis service — NoSlip is a supplement to that care, never a substitute for it.
